General Requirements

The Minimum Eligibility Requirements (Examination and Marks) for admission to BSc (Hons.) B. Com (Pass)/BA (Hons.) and BA (Pass) are as under:

For B.Sc. (Hons.) in Stats.  Micro. & Geology        55%

For B.A. (Hons.) & B. Com (Hons.)                         60%

For B. Com (Hons.)                                                   45%

For B.A. & B. Com (Pass)                                         40%

For B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science                       55% with 60% in Maths

in aggregate in any one of the following Examinations

(i)           Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (12th class) of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, with pass in five subjects (one language and four elective subjects) or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

Or

 Pre-University Examination (2 Years after 10 Years of Schooling) of an Indian University/Board or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12 Yrs.) of the council of Indian school certification Examination, New Delhi (Pass in Five written subjects).

The aggregate marks requirements for admission to the college will be determined on the basis of one language and three best elective subjects out of four offered by the students at the school level.

(iii)                        General Certificate of Education Examination of the U.K.

(a)                           Pass in five subjects at ordinary level.

 

(b)                           At least in two subjects at the advanced level. These two advance level courses may either be chosen from among the five ordinary level subjects from outside this group as prescribed by the University of Delhi.

Note :

1.            Eligible applicants will have to appear in a written test prior to admission in B.A. (Hons.) English. 60% weight age will be given to C.B.S.E. marks and 40% weight age will be allotted to the Test. Students who have secured 65% marks and above in Core/Elective English and 65% in Best of Four are eligible for the test. English Admission Test will be held on 26th June 2007 (12.30 P.M. - 1.30 P.M.) and on 3rd July 2007 (10.30 A.M. - 11.30 A.M.)

2.            Women candidates are allowed a concession of 3% in aggregate marks for admission to all courses subject to approval of Admission Committee.

3.       If any student of B.A. / B.Sc. (Hons.) 1st year fails in the university examination and is eligible for promoted to a relevant in the II year. He / She must fulfil the original eligibility requirements (cut-off) percentage of that relevant Non-Hons. Course).

 

M.A. (Hindi)

Students seeking admission to M.A. (Hindi) are required to get themselves registered at the South Campus, University of Delhi as per University notification.

Age Requirements

No student shall be considered qualified for admission to the First Year of the Bachelors Degree Course unless he/she is 17 years of age on or before the first day of October of the year in which he/she seeks admission.
